Job Summary

Provides network support to operational computer networks by performing the following duties. Supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware pertaining to the casino’s local area network (LAN), casino management system, point-of-sale system and other IT systems. Recommends and schedules repairs. Provides end users support for applications. Installs and configures workstations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

> Ensures that all user workstations are properly setup and maintained, as needed.
> Troubleshoots printers and individual workstation.
> Sets up and maintains new users.
> Maintains basic equipment associated with any IT system and / or hardware.
> Performs troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
> Installs, upgrades and configures network printing, directory structures, software and files services.
> Provides users with technical support.
> Responds to needs and questions of users concerning their access to resources;
> Installs and tests necessary software and hardware.
> Adheres to all regulatory, departmental and casino policies and procedures, and to the MICS.
> Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Kiowa Casino and of the IT department.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)

Specifics Required:
> At least 21 years of age
> High school diploma or GED
> 1 year job related experience in I.T. field

Preferred:
> Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations
> A+ Certification

> Strong computer skills with experience in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets (ability to demonstrate proficiency)
> Strong organizational skills
> Strong written communication skills
> Strong verbal communication skills
> Guest service, interpersonal and teamwork skills necessary to maintain quality service delivery

Abilities Required:
> Ability to maintain high confidentiality

> Ability to work cooperatively with all departments
> Ability to manage extensive amounts of paperwork
> Ability to operate most office equipment (computer, fax, copier, etc)
> Ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds daily

Physical Demands / Work Environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Will be exposed to electrical and other hazards. Will be exposed to a second-hand smoke-filled environment.
